Using Raptor to Quickly Find and Add Top-Matched Candidates

Use the Raptor feature to instantly access pre-curated, top-matched candidates for your open requirement as soon as it is live in Velocity, and quickly add them to the relevant job description (JD) to accelerate your submissions.

Step 1: Open the Raptor Feature

If you have a specific requirement and want immediate candidate options for that role, use the Raptor feature. Raptor is designed to surface top picks that have already been curated for your requirement as soon as it hits Velocity.

Step 2: Review the Curated Candidate Matches

After you click on Raptor, you will see a list of the most suitable candidates for the selected requirement. These candidates are already matched to the role even before active sourcing begins. For example, you may see 25 matches for an “AI Engineer” role, with filters such as salary range and location already applied. Review the details of these candidates to confirm their suitability for your requirement.

Step 3: Add Selected Candidates to the Job Description

Once you identify suitable candidates, add them to the specific JD directly from the Raptor view. Click on Add to JD for the chosen candidates to link them to that requirement.

After adding them, you can proceed with your standard recruitment workflow for those candidates under that JD.

Step 4: Leverage Raptor to Accelerate Submissions

Raptor continuously curates the best profiles for you based on the Velocity database. Use this feature whenever a new requirement goes live to quickly pick top-matched candidates and significantly speed up your candidate submissions.

FAQ Content

Q1. What is Raptor in Velocity?
Raptor is a feature in Velocity that allows you to immediately access top, pre-curated candidate picks for a given requirement. It uses the existing Velocity database to surface the most suitable profiles as soon as the requirement has hit Velocity.

Q2. When should I use Raptor?
You should use Raptor when you have a requirement and want immediate candidate options for that specific role, salary, and location. It is particularly useful when you want to accelerate your submissions without waiting for new sourcing to begin.

Q3. How do I access candidate matches using Raptor?
Once your requirement is in Velocity, you can click on the Raptor feature from the relevant screen. After clicking Raptor, the system displays the most suitable candidates for that particular role, salary, and location, such as showing twenty-five matches for an AI engineer role.

Q4. What information can I review for candidates surfaced by Raptor?
After Raptor displays the matches, you can review all available details for each candidate shown. This enables you to assess suitability before deciding whether to add a candidate to the specific job.

Q5. How do I add Raptor candidates to a job description (JD)?
From the Raptor results, you can select a candidate and click “Add” or “Add to JD.” Once selected, the candidate is added to that particular JD, and you can then proceed with your normal workflow for that candidate.

Q6. Does Raptor start sourcing new candidates, or use existing profiles?
Raptor uses profiles that are already in the Velocity database and matched to the requirement even before active sourcing has started. It does not wait for new sourcing; it leverages existing curated data to provide immediate matches.
