How to View Status of a Candidate

Overview
The candidate status shows the current stage of a candidate in the hiring process, such as screening, interview, selection, or onboarding. You can quickly view this directly from the Candidates list or inside the candidate profile.

Steps to View Candidate Status
Step 1: Go to the Candidates Tab
Log in to the Welocity portal and click on the Candidates tab from the top navigation bar.
Step 2: Find the Candidate
Use the search bar or filters such as Recruiters, Status, Availability, Interviews, and Location to locate the required candidate.
Step 3: Check the Status Column
In the candidate list table, locate the Status column.
This column displays the current application status of each candidate in real time.
Step 4 (Optional): View Status from Candidate Profile
You can also click on the candidate’s name to open their profile and view the detailed status along with interview insights and analysis.
Common Status Types
Fresh – The candidate is newly added or has not been screened yet.
Octo Screened – The system has automatically analyzed or screened the candidate using Octo.
Client Interview – The candidate has moved forward to the client interview stage.
Selected – The candidate has been finalized for the role.
Rejected – The candidate is not suitable for the role at the current stage.
Screen Select / Screen Reject / On Hold – Internal screening decisions based on CV match, recruiter review, or hiring workflow.
Notes
Some statuses (such as Octo Screened) are automatically updated by the system.
Always refer to the latest status in the Candidates table to track real-time hiring progress.
Status visibility may vary based on user role and access permissions.
